Mr. Ronald Louis Myatt, 90, of Papillion, Nebraska (formerly of Charleston, South Carolina) passed away on April 16, 2021. Mr. Myatt was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 22, 1931 and was the son of Louis Myatt and Catherine O'Gara Myatt. He attended Bishop England High School prior to enlisting in the U.S. Navy and served in combat during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Saint Paul. Mr. Myatt was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1955 and returned to Charleston to begin what became a long career with the Charleston Water System. Throughout that period, he was an avid parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and active member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Club. In 2017, he moved from Charleston to Papillion, Nebraska where he lived with his daughter. Mr. Myatt is survived by his daughter, Catherine Vidrine and son-in-law, George Vidrine of Papillion, Nebraska along with six grandchildren (Robin, Erin, Cady, Albert, Phillip and Connor), seven great-grandchildren (Presley, Creighton, Finley, Emerson, Harper, Felix, and Elliotte), and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Myatt will be laid to rest during a private family ceremony at Saint Lawrence Cemetery.
