Rosaria Morrone, 68, unexpectedly died on May 2, 2021 at her home in Gravesend, Brooklyn. She was the daughter of late Francesco and Lucia, loving sister of Matteo and Margherita, sister-in-law to Theresa, loving aunt to Francesco and Jenny, and beloved cousin of many. Rosaria was born on July13, 1952 in Caggiano, Italy. At the age of 16, Rosaria came to America.
Anyone who knew Rosaria knew how strong, independent, loving, and selfless she was. Her entire life, Rosaria put others first. She spent her time cooking and baking for all occasions, making sure to keep family traditions alive. Rosaria volunteered her time playing Bingo and donating scarves and blankets she knitted to her local church, St. Simon and Jude.
Rosaria was an active member of her community. For 10 years, she was a bus matron for Atlantic Express, working with special-needs children. Rosaria was a founding member of the Associazione Caggianesi D’America, which serves to instill the traditions and values of Caggiano.
Rosaria will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation Monday, 3-9 pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 9:30am at St. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, NY.
