Lamar “Pop” Daniels, 87, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 3077 Pio Nono Ave. with Pastor Ed Chambliss officiating. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations made be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
Lamar was born in Bleckley County to the late Jessie Daniels and Julia Mae Daniels. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a civil engineer. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved to go to flea markets.
Lamar was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Geraldine Daniels, and his granddaughter, Calin Daniels.
He is survived by his sons, Don (Carole) Daniels and Terry Daniels, both of Macon; brother, Tommy Daniels; sister, Sue Sanders; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
