Donna is survived by her loving husband Glenn Bell; mother, Dovie Willcutt; two sons, Russell (Heather) and Matthew (Leah); five grandchildren, Andrew, Catherine, Madelyn, Luke and Brannan; sisters, Dot (Mike) Brown, Phyllis (Dwain) Mayo and Janis (Al) Estrada; brother, Terry Cazalas; nieces, Brandy (Patrick) Pendleton, Ashley Mayo; nephews, Anthony (Peyton) Brown, Adam (Lindsey) Mayo, Alvio (Amy) Estrada, Alton (Shannon) Estrada as well as numerous other family members and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father Murl Cazalas and stepdad Floyd Willcutt.
Donna worked from 1977-2002 at Spring Hill College in the Telecommunications Department. It was there she met the love of her life, Glenn, to whom she was happily married for 39 years. Donna and Glenn raised their two sons, who were the center of her world. Together the four built memories through traveling the country on family vacations and creating priceless family traditions. She also worked from 2002 to 2012 at the University of South Alabama Police Department where she retired in 2012. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, taking trips to the beach with her high school classmates and being the most supportive Nonna by cheering on her grandchildren at their many ballgames and endeavors. She attended Creekwood Church of Christ and especially enjoyed the wonderful ladies in her Sunday morning bible class.
She loved God and her family with a fierce passion and she reminded them often that the three most important things in life were “God, family and education”. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, Nonna to her grandchildren and friend. In word and deed she was thoughtful, funny, kind, abounding in grace, as well as compassionate and strong at heart thus dearly loved by so many. She will be greatly missed but leaves behind a beautiful legacy. We are comforted by the fact that she is now at her eternal home with her Heavenly Father.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital neurology department. Donations can be made at giving.uab.edu.
