She was predeceased by her husband Harry and nine siblings. Bonita was the youngest of ten and grew up in Logan Iowa. Family was most important to her, and she often spoke of cherished memories of her
childhood and the love and values she received from her parents.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she met her future husband Harry Price. She and Harry moved to Denver to be close to her sister Regina and her husband Don.
Bonita and Harry married in Denver on December 29, 1950. They were blessed with two sons Jim and Greg. Greg had special needs diagnosed when he was two years old. Bonita was the best most caring
mother to her two boys, and the greatest advocate for Greg and his needs. She amazingly remained his legal guardian up until the time of her passing.
In the 1950's Bonita worked for Denver Chicago trucking company as an administrative assistant and later for Jefferson County public schools as a cook. She also volunteered at the Ridge home for the Developmentally disabled doing clerical work.
Bonita was a Christian woman and a member of the Covenant Church of Arvada for many years. She loved to cook and marveled at the opportunity to cook delicious meals on holidays and for special occasions for her family and friends.
In her later years Bonita enjoyed music, card playing, scrabble, crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. She was so loved. She is forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed for
the kind, caring and funny person that she was.
