Sharon Ann Perone Priest, age 75 of Knoxville, TN went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born on October 12, 1945 to Nicholas and Mae Perone in Atlantic City, NJ. She attended Atlantic City High School and later attended Atlantic Community College in Mays Landing, NJ. She married her husband Raymond on April 30, 1966 and were married in Egg Harbor City, NJ. She was a loving wife and mother, choosing to put her family first rather than pursuing a career. Sharon loved caring for her family by cooking, sewing her children's clothes and always providing a warm and comfortable home for her husband and children to return to each day. Sharon also enjoyed working in the garden with her husband and preparing the harvested food. She lived her life serving her Heavenly Father and was known in her church as a prayer warrior and servant of the Lord. She taught Sunday School and VBS classes for children and women of the church for over 40 years. She and her husband, Raymond are members of Stock Creek Baptist Church in Knoxville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Mae Perone.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Priest Sr.; children, Sherri Clark of Gahanna, OH, Robert Morgan of Lenoir City, TN, Staci Atherton (Rick), Knoxville, TN, Raymond Priest Jr. of Knoxville, TN and Jennifer Wilson (Joe) of Seymour, TN. She will be missed by her 7 grandchildren, Nicholas Morgan, Robert Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Priscilla Ciotti Montney, Joshua Ciotti, Ryan Ciotti and Giovanna Wilson and 7 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters, Carol Hoskins (Tom) and Vicki Gaffney (Phillip) both of NJ; many brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Stock Creek Baptist Church, 8106 Martin Mill Pike, Knoxville. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00pm Saturday officiated by Pastors Buddy Johnson and Jayme Tharp with an interment service to follow at Stock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Sharon to Stock Creek Baptist Church, 8106 Martin Mill Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
