64 years of age of Ravenna, Ohio passed away on June 11, 2021 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center.
Thomas was born on October 31, 1956 in Painesville, Ohio to Sylvester and Rhoda (Kirk) Sanders. He and his family lived many places including Oregon, Evansville, Indiana, and Ravenna, Ohio, where he met his high school sweetheart, Victoria (Policano) Sanders. Thomas eventually settled in Evansville, Indiana and was a truck driver for many years travelling all over the country. In 2000, he reconnected with Victoria and they married on February 25, 2002.
Thomas loved to tell stories and talk about his time on the road as a truck driver. He could make you laugh with an offhand comment or one of his many goofy sayings. He enjoyed watching Ohio State football on Saturdays and the Indianapolis Colts on Sundays. He liked to watch MMA fights and talk about different martial arts moves they performed. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and more than anything, he loved dogs. If you were friends with him on Facebook, you could almost guarantee he would send you a cute or funny dog video. He cared for many dogs over his life, but his best dog pals were Rosie, Roscoe, Charlie, and Tish.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rob Rowley, Danny Rowley, and grandson David Bonner. Thomas is survived by his wife Victoria Sanders; brothers Rick Rowley and Ronnie Rowley; children Billie Jo (Kheoki) Bonner, Donna Harris, Christine Sanders, and Amanda Ferrari, all of Evansville, IN, and Katy (Coleman) Scott of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A private family service will be held. He will be interred at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna, Ohio. The family would like to thank the administration and the staff at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center for the love, friendship and care that Thomas received during his time there. He loved to joke and laugh with his aids and nurses. He considered them not only his caretakers, but his friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Portage County APL or any animal rescue of your choice.
