Patricia Lee Culbreath, age 77, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on July 19, 2021, in Tampa, Florida. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 9, 1943, Pat graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a degree in Marketing and Distributive Education.
A member of SunCoast Area Teacher Training Honors Program, she also served on their Steering Committee. She was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, as well as an active participant in Chiselers, PEO, Joshua House, Children's Home Society, Metropolitan Ministries, Cause Program, and Lamp Lighters.
An avid quilter, Pat was a member of Quilters Workshop and Princess Quilters. She also enjoyed tennis, racquetball, volleyball, and painting. She was Commissioner of Soccer for Interbay Soccer League, as well as a coach and manager for Tampa Bay Little League. Pat loved teaching and the children she taught. She spent 25 years teaching for Hillsborough County and her last nine years working for the Mendez Foundation, teaching the Too Good for Drugs Program.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark M. Culbreath and Hugh Lee Culbreath IV; daughters-in-law, Leslie Shirah Culbreath and Rachel Marcus Culbreath; grandchildren Hunter James Culbreath and Avery Faith Culbreath; brother, Donald L. Brink and his wife Shirley Brink of Saginaw, Michigan; niece, Lori L. Bacon, and nephew, Jason Brink, of Saginaw, Michigan.
A memorial will be held at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church on August 4th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Metropolitan Ministries, The Spring of Tampa Bay, and Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.
