Le 24 février 2016, à l’hôpital St. Mary’s de Montréal est décédé Jacques Noiseux des suites d’une courte maladie à l’âge de 79 ans. Il était le fils de Fortunat Noiseux et de Marguerite Hébert. Ayant rejoint sa sœur Louise et son frère Jean, il laisse dans le deuil ses nièces Danielle et Josée, son neveu Pierre, ainsi que plusieurs amis au pays et à l’étranger.
Jacques Noiseux a eu une carrière diplomatique distinguée de 1965 à 1998. Il a représenté le Canada comme ambassadeur au Liban, en Syrie et en Algérie. Il a été Conseiller auprès du Gouverneur-Général Jeanne Sauvé et auprès de l’Écuyer de la Reine au palais de Buckingham à Londres. Il a également été en poste à Kinshasa, Dakar, Paris, Nairobi et au Consulat-Général à New York.
Ses proches tiennent à remercier le personnel soignant et médical de l’hôpital des soins attentionnés qu’ils ont lui prodigués. Les funérailles auront lieu à la chapelle Notre-Dame de la Résurrection au cimetière Côte-des-Neiges le 3 mars à 11h, 4601 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Qc, H3V1E7. La famille recevra les condoléances une heure avant la messe. Vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Fondation de l’hôpital St Mary’s ou à l’Institut Neurologique de Montréal.

On February 24 2016, Jacques Noiseux passed away at St Mary’s Hospital in Montreal after a short illness. He was 79 years old. He was the son of Fortunat Noiseux and Marguerite Hébert. Predeceased by his sister Louise and brother Jean, he leaves behind his nieces and nephew and many friends here and abroad.
Jacques Noiseux had a distinguished career in the Canadian Foreign Service from 1965 to 1998. He represented Canada as Ambassador in Lebanon, Syria and Algeria (1995-1997). He had also served as Commonwealth Assistant to the Queen’s Equerry at Buckingham Palace and Assistant to the Secretary of the Governor-General. His other postings included Dakar, Kinshasa, Paris, New York (Consulate-General) and Nairobi.
His loved ones wish to thank the nursing and medical staff at St. Mary’s who provided wonderful care.
A funeral mass will be said at the Chapelle de la Résurrection (Cimetière Côte-des-Neiges, 4601 Côte-des-Neiges Road) in Montreal on Thursday March 3 at 11h. The family will receive condolences one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, Jacques’ memory can be honoured through contributions to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or the Montreal Neurological Institute.
