Alice Hatchett Quillin, 96, of Garland, TX passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Dallas, TX. She was born on June 27, 1921 in Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Quillin was a member of First Baptist Church-Moores Lane in Texarkana, TX and Fivestone Community Church in Garland, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Quillin, two sons, Denny and Richard Quillin, daughter, Barbara Quillin Randolph, sisters, Myldred Newsome and Frances Stone and a brother Harold Hatchett.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and John Pierce of Palacios, TX and Beth and Randy Guillot of Garland, TX; son-in-law Charlie Randolph and his wife Sue of Blue Eye, MO; grandchildren, Renee McKenney and her husband Jeff, Chad Randolph and his wife Stephanie, Jeff Evans and fianceé Stacey Grauel, Ryan Guillot, and Corey Guillot and his wife Kimberly; great grandchildren, Sarah Evans, Quillin and Mason McKenney, Jackson, Madison and Colton Randolph and Griffin Guillot, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Alice was a long-time employee of Wadley Hospital as an Administrative Assistant. She and George were involved with many service organizations and volunteer work, including President of Junto Club, Jaycee-Ette's, Temple Memorial Home, Wadley Hospital Auxiliary and American Heart Association. Alice moved from Texarkana to the Dallas area in 2003 to be closer to her family.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm Saturday, July 15, 2017 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane with a funeral service to follow at 2pm with Rev. Jerry Zucha to officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
Memorial donations may be made to Temple Memorial Rehab Center, First Baptist Church-Moores Lane Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
