The family lived in Covington, Louisiana, north of Lake Pontchartrain. When she was a teenager, her family moved to New Orleans where she graduated from McMain High School in 1943. She completed a commercial course at Henry W. Allen School for graduates in 1944.
She began working as a clerk typist at the U.S. Treasury Department where she met her future husband Sollie Rebouche. They were married February 20, 1946. Daughter, Sharon was born December 9, 1947; Son, Charles was born December 27, 1948. The family resided in New Orleans.
June returned to work in the late 50’s at the Department of the Navy. Later, she worked at the Department of Agriculture, and then at the Food and Drug Administration. In 1964, the family moved to Houston where she worked for the U.S. Air Force and then the U.S. Navy until she stopped working in the mid 70’s. From that point, she was a full time homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister.
