Cherishing his memory are his beloved wife of 69 years Joy (nee Hayden), sons Mike (Cathy) and Jeff (Jo-Ann), grandchildren Maureen, David (Julie), James and Kelly (Gavin), and great-grandchild Desmond. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Beatrice (nee Finch).
Born June 2, 1927 in Sinclair, Manitoba, he worked for several decades in radio (CKRC, CKY, CJOB) and 10 years with the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities. An accomplished actor on stage and in film, he read the comics as Uncle Ken on CKRC for many years, co-founded Schmockey Night, and for 25 years co-wrote Beer and Skits for the Winnipeg Press Club. His hobbies included music, golf, hunting, fishing, reading, painting and watching old movies and hockey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg.
