He was born in Romania, the son of the late Svetozar and Amelia Panin Fenjac. He was the beloved husband of the late Mara Banovic Fenjac; loving father of Dragica (Gary) Ruckgaber, Miodrag “Mike” (Marita) Fenjac, Slobodan “Frank” Fenjac, Radovan (Bridget) Fenjac and Radovanka Fenjac; cherished grandfather of Denise Laich, Martin (Terri) Laich and Hiram Fenjac.
The son of Serbian farmers, Milan Fenjac was born in Romania in 1921. At the age of 18, he joined the Yugoslavian Army, and was a Prisoner of War in Nazi Germany during WWII. In the early 1960’s, Milan crossed the border from the post war communist government in Yugoslavia to Italy, in search of a better life for his young family. After obtaining a sponsorship to the United States, Milan and his family settled in Cleveland, Ohio.
Milan was an extensive European traveler, and a diverse business entrepreneur. His drink of choice was Pepsi, he enjoyed a good game of poker, he was an avid bee keeper (he believed bee stings were therapeutic – he was 98) and loved his family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2pm-530PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, where Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 5:30PM.
