He will be remembered lovingly by his present wife, Glenna Rae; his children, Marcia, Claudia, Stephen, Daniel, David and Andrea; his 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Jean Hannigan, sons Jonathan and Gregory and daughter-in-law Lisa Gentz Kenyon.
Dad was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 26, 1927 the second child of Daniel and Edith Long Kenyon and is predeceased by both parents and brother Russell. His sister Evelyn Randall of Massachusetts survives.
Dad enlisted in the US Navy and served proudly until the end of WWII. After discharge, he was employed at Lawrence Manufacturing Woolen Mill in Lowell, married Jean Hannigan and began raising his family. He attended college late in life obtaining his Bachelors Degree and then his Masters Degree in Elementary Education with honors. Dad served as chaplain at The Haven in Boston, Massachusetts and as pastor of Nute Chapel in Milton, New Hampshire. After moving to Florida, he taught math at Brevard Correctional Institute in Sharpes until his retirement.
Dad had a strong and unwavering faith in JESUS and was always quick to share his faith with others.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 9 am at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring Street, Cocoa, Florida.
