Alice was a devoted member of Irvington Pentecostal Church for over 50 years. She was a Sunday School teacher in the primary dept and helped in the Cambodian mission work. Her passion was cooking and especially enjoyed preparing Syrian food for others. Alice also loved baking and teaching her grandchildren bible stories and how to cook.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Kenneth Abdo and wife Barbara of Houston, Tx; John R. Abdo of Haughton, La; David Abdo of Houston, Tx. 5 Grandchildren; Travis Abdo and wife Bridget of Cypress, Tx; Marcus Abdo and wife Joyce of Spring, Texas, Douglas Abdo of Fort Worth, Tx; and Karen Moore and husband Lynn of Haughton, La. 10 Great-Grandchildren: Whitney Rowland, Justin Moore, Carlee Abdo, Maggie Abdo, Josh Abdo, Camden Abdo, Aaron Abdo, Brittany Abdo, Blake Abdo, and Megan Abdo. and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Cara Harrison, Colten Harrison, and Aurora Moore. and 2 Nieces, Mary Dale Thompson and Barbara Gilstrap
She is preceded in death by her parents; John and Mary Saccar, brothers, Victor Saccar, and Lewis Saccar; sisters, Vicki Saccar, and Dalal Bennick, and grandson Curtis Abdo.
Visitation will be 6:00- 9:00 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Company Funeral Home, 1200 W 34th St, Houston,Texas.
Homegoing services will be Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. at The Sanctuary of Houston, 4400 Fulton St. Houston, Texas.
Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery at 3506 N. Main St., Houston, Texas.
Officiating services will be Rev. Robert Gilstrap and Rev. Russell Rodgers.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Center, Nurses, and Staff.
