Frank Emil Lienert, Jr., son of the late Frank and Marie Lienert was born on March 20, 1941 in Woodland, California, and passed peacefully with his children by his side on November 10, 2019. He spent his early years on the family dairy before ‘moving to town’. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School in Woodland and graduated from Woodland High School in 1959. At the age of 22 his backyard hobby of beekeeping became the start of ‘Lienert’s Quality Honey’, which he actively managed until the time of his passing.
He married the love of his life, the late Joan DiMaggio, on February 13, 1971. They were blessed with three children. Lisa (David), Jody (Robert), and Frank (Beckee) as well as seven grandchildren. Dominic, Elizabeth, Michael, and Maria Hinton. Noah and Colton Thompson. Giacomo Lienert. Frank is also survived by his loving siblings, MaryLou Haslemann, Joe Lienert, and Anne Strong as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Frank was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend. He made many friends over his 39-year career with the State of California. Frank was a dedicated parent volunteer for over seventeen years at All Hallows Catholic School, where he hosted many a crab feed and made lasting friendships. He was a lifelong member of the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club and enjoyed Landler music. For the past 40-plus years you could find Frank every Sunday morning at the Farmers’ Market selling honey.
A viewing will be held November 22, at 5pm with Rosary at 7pm, at Nicoletti Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA.
