Carolyn Joy Quintero was born March 25, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on December 27, 2019 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79 years. Carolyn was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. She married Melton Quintero in August 25, 1962 and his military career took them to several duty stations outside of Oklahoma. Carolyn drove a school bus for many years, ending with the Mustang Public School System. She enjoyed crafting, riding motorcycles with her husband and watching her grandchildren play softball. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Brandon; Husband, Melton Quintero; grandson, Chance Quintero and her uncles and aunts, Ted and Bernice Hill and Welton and Lavada Williams. She is survived by her sons, David Lee Quintero of Austin, Texas, Brent Anthony Quintero of Oklahoma City and Melton Smith and wife Darla of Spring, Texas; sister, Janet Ramos-Vargas of California; grandchildren, Brandon, Danielle, Kaci, Shane and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Beckett, Hayden, Layla, Camryn and Evangelina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
