Gary Ray Clark, 69, of Livonia, passed away on December 26, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance health in Jackson, MI. He was on February 28, 1950 in Brownsville, PA to Delores Zacharanik. He married Evelyn Robb-Clark on February 14, 2010. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2016.
Gary is survived by 2 daughters Lynn Clark and Deanna Wilson; 4 grandchildren Zachariah (Ashley), Jacob, Jordan, and Harlan; and one brother Bill Zacharanik. He is preceded in death by his mother Delores; one brother Andy Zacharanik; Grandmother Edith Clark and Grandfather (Pappie) William Clark; and 1 cat Bootsie.
Gary was a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center for many years where he served and worshipped our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a deacon of the Church and ushered and passed offerings as well as participated in lots of fellowship activities within the Church. After becoming saved he was on a mission to spread the gospel. A clear and loving message that he expressed and spread daily was "Jesus loves you and wants to save your soul" to each and every person he encountered and spoke to. In previous years he loved to play cards and always wanted to play professional baseball. He was left handed and had a heck of an arm. He retired as a mail handler where he unloaded big semi trailers filled with sacks of mail. He was a hard and dedicated worker. One of his favorite hobbies was bowling and for many years he bowled on many leagues. He also enjoyed wrestling and watching it with his beloved wife Evelyn.
Visitation will be held on January 3, 2020 from 12-8pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Redford, a funeral service will be held on January 4, 2020 at Lighthouse Worship Center at 11am (in-state time 10am). Gary will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the COPD Foundation.
