He was a veteran of the United States Navy and earned his Associates Degree from South Arkansas Community College. David was employed by South Arkansas Community College as an Assistant in the Performance and Media Arts Department and was a member of El Dorado First Assembly of God Church. He loved animals, entertaining, and especially spending time with his wife and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry David Joyner.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Debbie Joyner; mother, Noweeta Joyner; his three children, Jerry Joyner (Jamie), Jennifer Joyner, Leta Joyner; his grandson, Dylan Hickman; two brothers, Robert Joyner (Karen), Jonathan Joyner (Kristen); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020 at El Dorado First Assembly with Rev. Greg Tucker and Rev. Chris Cleveland officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 prior to the service at the church. Interment with military honors will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
