She was married to Joseph Ralston Busby for 59 years. Mollie was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Baytown, and had a passion for teaching Sunday School to children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Busby; parents, James Johnson Barnett and Ola Mae Barnett; and her granddaughter, Patti Bailey.
She is survived by her brother, Derrell Barnett and his wife Paula; her daughter, Debra Weatherly and husband Steve; son, David Busby; grandchildren, Amanda Wheeler and her husband Adam, Kaitlin Busby; great grandchildren, Gabrielle Bailey, Kaylee Wheeler, and Seth Wheeler; nephew, Wes Barnett his wife Angie and their children Brianna and Jimmy; nephew, Mark Barnett; nephew, Clint Barnett his wife Lacy and their children Brayden and Josh; foster daughter, Debbie Askew and husband Jimmy and their family, Debbie Shaw her husband Billy and their daughters Victoria and Makaylah Askew, Christopher Askew and Jacob Askew.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 11:00 am – 12:00 at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home with Pastor David Cripps officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarcrest Cemetery, Baytown, TX. Serving as pall bearers will be, Adam Wheeler, Wes Barnett, Joey Huff, David Cripps, Jr., Roger Clifford, and Trevan Kemp.
