Glen D. Maikranz, Jr., 79 of Sugar Land, Texas, formerly of Littleton, Colorado entered the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Born on April 27, 1941 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Josephine (Vignieri) Maikranz and the late Glen D. Maikranz, Sr. Glen graduated from Waukegan High School in 1959. He worked at Blatchford Calf Meal Company, attended classes at Northwestern University and was transferred to Thompson Hayward Chemical Company in Denver, Colorado. He had a successful career in the oil and gas industry and for the last several years he worked as President at General Truck Body Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Houston, TX where he will be truly missed. He is survived by his mother Josephine (Vignieri) Maikranz, sisters Sharon (Rich) Wilkins, Beverly (Doug) Langston, JoAnn (Allen) McGaver and brother Bill (Karen) Maikranz; his children David, Scott, Pam (Aaron) Velarde, and Christopher (Tamara); grandchildren Joshua, Connor, Skylar, Alex and Elise. He was a hard-working man, loving and giving son, father, and grandfather, beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces and a wonderful brother to his four siblings. He was a remarkably generous man who had a passion for travel and cuisine and shared that love with his family and friends. He will live in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1pm at The Settegast-Kopf Co.@ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land, Texas.
Services will be livestreamed via The Settegast-Kopf Co. Facebook Page. Facial masks are required to enter the funeral home and social distancing must be practiced.
