Allan Tracy Taron started fishing at the age of 16 in a small dingy in Port Albion. Over forty years and three trollers later, Allan finished his career as a commercial fisherman and retired the Rongo Mai. More commonly known as ‘Snake Bite’, Allan loved country music, fishing and his boat was a popular place to congregate in the Ucluelet Boat Basin. Allan was always willing to help his friends and had many dear life-long friends. He loved to have fun and enjoyed a good party. He had a soft heart especially with animals and children.
Allan is survived by Caren Taron (nee: White), his children: Michael Marriott, Ucluelet (grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan and Kaitlyn), Lesley-Ann Marriott (Stephen Small), Vancouver and Brent Taron; Robyn Cooley-Taron (grand-children Jayden and Kesler) Ucluelet. His siblings: Carroll Haddow (Robert) OK Falls, Kendall Taron (deceased), Robert (Geraldine) Taron, Nanoose Bay, David (Patricia) Taron, Fernie, Michael Taron (deceased).
