It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Emile Cartier announces his passing after several months of heart complications and then heart surgery on December 15. He passed away peacefully on December 28 in Edmonton at the Mazankowski Heart Institute at the age of 69 with his wife and children by his side.
Dale will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 49 years Brenda, his children Derek (Tammy) Cartier, their children Kjel and Kate, Richelle (Murray) Klak, their children Trey, Peyton and Averi. Dale will also be fondly remembered by his siblings Larry (Fran) Cartier, Randy Cartier, Cheryl (Scott) Grant, Shelley (Shane) Archibald and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dale was predeceased by his brother Lyle Cartier, parents Emile and Joyce Cartier, grandparents and sister-in-law Pat Cartier and father-in-law Larry Stewart.
Dale and Brenda‘s family lived on an acreage by millet from 1975 - 1989 then move to Nanaimo, BC for two and a half years to work. They then moved back to Leduc in 1992 where they have lived since. Dale spent most of his career in the trucking and crane industries where he made many, many, great friends. He had such great respect for everyone he worked with and met. He ended his career this past June as a crane and rigging safety instructor.
In honour of Dale, we would ask and appreciate a donation to the Mazankowski Heart Institute in Dale‘s name, where he has been a patient since 1974.
