Jane was born March 2, 1937, in Wichita, Kansas. She worked in health services in Missouri serving as County Health Director in Laclede County and as a school nurse at Grain Valley before retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry George and Marie Esther (Doll) Heinicke, a sister Carol, brother Jerald and 2 sisters in laws Mildred and Glynda.
Elinor was survived by her husband, Paul White; 2 brothers Henry and James (Joyce);a daughter Barbara (Virgil “Buddy”) Lane, 2 sons Derek (Cherilyn) and Christopher (Tammy), 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial gifts to Mid-Continent Public Library.
