

He was born on December 18, 1934, in the Philippines, where he spent his early years before embarking on a new chapter of life abroad.
In 1970, Rudy immigrated to Kansas City with his family, where he established roots. He carried with him a deep appreciation for his new homeland and connection that remained evident throughout his life.
Rudy was an avid chess player who found great joy in the strategy and camaraderie the game provided. He was also passionate about bowling, a pastime he enjoyed for many years until declining health prevented him from continuing. These hobbies brought him not only relaxation but also enduring friendships and meaningful memories.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosa; his daughter, Norilyn (Mark); his son, Dennis; and his brother, Lando. He was a proud grandfather and was blessed with a grandson, Remington (Kaydee) and his three great-grandchildren who brought him immense happiness. He is also fondly remembered by his sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, and extended family, whose presence enriched his life and gave him great joy.
Rudy will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his family, and generosity toward those around him. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111, US, on May 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
