Jeffrey Ryan Smith, age 34, of Mustang, Oklahoma and Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 26, 2026. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 17, 1991 to Tonia Schone and Kasey Smith.
He loved basketball, skateboarding, video games, cooking, listening and writing rap music, and being with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. His smile would light up a room.
He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Hazel Newton (Hay Hay), John Newton (Poppy), Jim Lingerfelt, Jim Schone, and Richard Smith.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tonia Schone, Kasey Smith, and Joe Schone; his grandparents, Kay Smith and Janice Schone; his beautiful sisters, Miranda Schone, Chelsie Pederson, Caylie Kellow, Sadie Smith; his nieces and nephews that he loves so much. He will be forever missed and forever loved.
A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Monday, September 7, 2026 from 2pm to 8pm. A funeral service will take place the following morning on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10am. Burial will follow at Mount Eden Cemetery.
