Dorothy G. Ali81, born June 27, 1928 in New York Mills, New York, and passed away December 12, 2009 in Richardson, TX. Dorothy, an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for over 40 years, was also a long-time participant in the Women’s Guild and the Catholic Daughters. She will be proudly remembered for her incredible strength while taking care of her husband Bob during his many years of illness, and during these past few months of her own diminishing health. Dorothy’s family and friends will remember her with love, and will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Louise Mikus; sister, Sadie Dubiel; brothers, Julien, Edwin, and Henry Mikus; and her husband, Bob. Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Lance Thatcher; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Charlie Boucher; grandsons, Jacob and Ryan Boucher; sisters, Albina Jalowiec and Bernice Lewek; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank The Gardens of Richardson for their continued support, and our close friends who were always there for her and us. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. On Friday, December 18, 2009, a Vigil Service will be held at 1:30 P.M., followed by Mass at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 Floyd Rd, Richardson, TX.
