Jennie M. Crelan, 80, of Monroe died Monday, February 1 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the wife of John Crelan. Mrs. Crelan was born September 14, 1929 in Bridgeport, to the late Joseph and Anna Romanosky. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing where she worked as an RN for over 35 years. She enjoyed a good book and a good cup of tea and loved animals. Later in life she became an avid fan of the UConn Women Huskies. Besides her husband of 60 years, she leaves her son Barry and his wife Anita of Virginia, daughters Laurie of Oxford, and Stacy of Shelton, son Tim of Naugatuck and two granddaughters , Amber and Dana of Virginia. She was predeceased by two brothers John and Frank. Calling hours will be held at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe on Wednesday, February 3 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 2pm at the funeral home. .
