Later, she crocheted many afghans, made many ceramic holiday decorations, and enjoyed other crafting arts including embroidery, quilling, and needlepoint in her spare time. Her children and grandchildren also remember the many cookies she baked for most any occasion.
She also loved watching her favorite baseball and basketball teams, the Red Sox and the Celtics when they played on television. She had fond memories of attending the Red Sox games at Fenway Park as a child with her brothers who would take her to the games on Ladies Day when her ticket cost 10 cents, as she recalled.
