Ronald was born and raised in Portland. He was the oldest son of August and Julie; and brother of Gail, Richard, Terry, David, Suzanne, Lori and James. He was a graduate of All Saints School, Benson Polytechnic High School and Portland State University with a degree in engineering. Ron's military service was spent in Europe and he retired from government work at Naval Undersea Warefare Center in Keyport, Wash. Moving back to Portland, he pursued and became a Master Gardener and honed his passion for woodworking. In his big heart, he had a special love for cats.
