Richard C. “Rocky” Books II, 61, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in his residence. He was born in Lebanon on September 8, 1953, a son of the late Richard C. and Eleanora A. Mehler Books. Rocky was a retired plant operator for TMI in Middletown with 30 years of service. He was a member and served as an officer for the Liberty Fire Company Marching Club of Lebanon. He is survived by sons, Jason M. Books of Watsontown; Richard C. Books III and wife Kathy of Lebanon; granddaughter, Gabrielle Fay Books; sister, Susan Jones and husband Ranny of VA; nephews, Benjamin and Shawn Connatser. There are no funeral services planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Fire Company Marching Club, 509 N. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc. is handling his arrangements.
