Lois Doan Brady passed away on August 18, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 99. Mrs. Brady was born on July 29, 1918 in Jadie, Oklahoma, a town named after her father William Jadie Doan. She graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1936 to then attend Southeastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma. There she met her husband, Charles H. Brady, who she married on March 25, 1939. She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in education from East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma, teaching elementary school in Oklahoma and California, until her retirement in 1975.
Her intelligence, strong will, education, and independent mind serve as an inspiration, especially to the young women of her family. Mrs. Brady is survived by her three children, Jerry Ray Brady, Sarah Brady Welde, and Susan Brady Blasco; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
