Wanda Jean Cole, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all, departed this life on January 31, 2018. A genuine coal miner’s daughter, she was born on October 2, 1940 in Bell County Kentucky, and lived most of her adult life in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Sallie Partin Dilbeck, and brothers Walter L. Dilbeck Jr. and Jessie T. Dilbeck Sr. Wanda is survived by her husband of almost 60 years Earl Cole, of Knoxville, her sons Franklin Cole of Knoxville and Stephen Cole, of Clemson, South Carolina, a sister, Dallas (Dolly) Hoskins of Knoxville, a brother Jake Dilbeck of Cumming, GA, two special daughters-in-law, Carole Cole, of Knoxville and Jennie Cole of Clemson, South Carolina, one special grandson, Austin Cole, of Dawsonville, Georgia and many very special nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Wanda was a devout Christian and was considered by many to be their “second mother". We will all miss her, but her kind, compassionate and loving soul will shine on forever in our memories. Family will receive friends Saturday in Weaver's Chapel from 1:00-2:00 pm with service to follow . Burial will be private. Condolences are welcome at weaverfuneralservices.com.
