

Harold John Monthey (87 years) of Glendale, AZ, passed away on February 27, 2019 at home. Harold was born on October 20, 1931 on a farm in Marcellon Township, WI, the son of the late George and Lura (Killoran) Monthey.
He graduated from Portage High School with the Class of 1949, and married Aridth Yvonne Stanford on June 22, 1957. Harold served in the National Guard and then joined the U.S.A.F. retiring as TSGT at Luke AFB in 1974 serving one tour in Vietnam. He also retired from Motorola Government Electronics Group in 1996. He belonged to the Glendale American Legion for 36 years.
Harold is survived by his sister Mary and brother-in-law Charles Bush; his two daughters: Sherry (Steven) Jones, Terry Shaw; grandchildren Jennifer Haskin, Michelle (Bobby) Todd, Sean (Nira) Shaw, Amanda Mattison, Travis Stanford, twelve great-grand children and many special nieces, nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Ardith, his sister Norma, brothers, Donald, Owen, William, Bernard and Maurice and son Richard Stanford.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at American Legion Earl E. Mitchell Post 29, 6822 North 57th Drive Glendale, Arizona on Sunday March 31st, 2019 at 11:00 am.
