

Alex Decarie-Gervais born May 23rd, 1997 in Gatineau, Quebec to parents, Lise Decarie and Joseph Pierre Gervais, passed away suddenly at the young age of 18 years on Friday September 18th in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He is additionally survived by his loving step-mother, Bonnie Gervais and 3 siblings: Christopher Decarie, Phillip Johnson, and Lawrence Johnson. His bright and caring character will also be missed by his many friends, and the many people whose life he has touched in his time here.
Alex was known for his tenacity and determination. He held strong convictions and was very analytical and innately inquisitive, with a gift for challenging conventional thought or causes of injustice. Alex valued respect and loyalty – walking the talk – carrying it out in his day-to-day actions. A truly gentle soul, Alex contained a very caring and loving heart, gifted to only those closest to him.
Alex enjoyed physical activity. His most favored past-times included BMX racing and body building to which he very much enjoyed eating to sustain his exceptional physical physique. His family knew that Alex had a great artistic ability. He was very poetic and creative.
His gentle and caring spirit will be always be remembered and carried in the hearts by those who knew him. Alex, rest in peace.
