Allan James Mclean

September 3, 1961 – April 15, 2011

It is with regret and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Allan McLean.

Loving son of the late Jim and Barbara McLean, brother of Trish Mclean, father of Jason Morrow, James Pawelchak (Danielle) and Dave Willox, Uncle to Cody, Brooklyn and Tyler Hull. Grandfather to Kyla Morrow, Brodie Allan Pawelchak and Payton Wallington.

Allan was a good and faithful servant, he lived and loved in the spirit of Christ.

Allan dedicated his life to the service of others. For 25 years Allan was a youth counsellor and youth pastor in the employment of Youth for Christ in Abbotsford, BC. Allan modeled his life of service after the teachings of Mother Theresa.

Allan was a generous and kind soul. He was a father figure to many troubled teens. For many Allan’s unconditional love is the only love they would know. The testimonials of scores of young people have a similar message “Allan saved my life.”

Allan’s big heart knew no boundaries. He gave freely, believed in the salvation of souls, the redemption and reclamation of the troubled and hopeless.

Allan leaves a significant legacy and a shining example of a life in Christ well lived. A Celebration of Allan’s life will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Heritage Alliance Church, 3440 Mount Lehman Road, Abbotsford. Reception to follow. A Memorial Service will also be held at Bayview Glen Church in Toronto, ON date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers donations to Youth Unlimited will be graciously accepted, 2760 Emerson St, Abbotsford, BC V2T 3J6.
