She was the eldest of 4 children and loved her siblings, Pazhou, Hamed and Hamid and their families dearly.
She left Iran at the age of 12, with her sister, to attend boarding school in England, at Kingsdene School in Worthing, Sussex. She later studied to be a radiographer, and then returned home to Iran and met and married Sohrab Radmard in 1973. Their daughter Fariba was soon born and they permanently moved to Canada in 1979. They settled in Abbotsford, where she lived until her passing.
She worked for the Government of Canada for almost 20 years, until her retirement. Her life was about service to others and she was a teacher of Bahá’í children’s classes for 19 years, as well as serving on many Bahá’í institutions throughout her life.
She loved animals, especially dogs, flowers and her garden. Most of all she loved her family and coffee dates with her friends. She had a wonderful sense of humour and made those around her feel loved and joyous. She will be deeply missed by all those who crossed her path.
On behalf of her daughter, Fariba, her siblings, Pazhou, Hamed and Hamid, and her grandchildren, Amaan, Taraneh, Ryaan and Saba, and the rest of her family, we would like to thank you all for your outpourings of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
A funeral service for Barazandeh will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S1M1.
