

Beulah Sara Dick (Schmidt) passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on February 3, 2011 at 11:15 pm in Abbotsford Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was born to August and Sara Schmidt in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, on October 18, 1928 the third youngest of 14 children.
In 1934 the family moved to B.C. to the Abbotsford area where she completed her Elementary School training. She went on to Shurpass Pacific College and enjoyed physics, which led her to take a special course in electonics. She became a great handywoman! Later she finished her Bible School training at Millar Memorial Bible Institute in Pambrum, Sask.
In 1963 she went to Germany under the Greater Europe Mission to work mainly with children, young people and women. In spite of her poor health from time to time, she enjoyed her work a lot and helped many people.
In 1982 she met Dr. Peter Dick and they were married on July 23, 1982. In 2008 they retired to Abbotsford, BC. Where her health began to deteriorate even more, but she still enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her home cooking and baking.
She leaves behind her bereaved husband, Dr. Peter Dick, three sisters, Hilda Heppner, Marie Enns (Peter) and Sue Froese (George) and two brothers, Les Schmidt and Loyal Schmidt (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents August and Sara Schmidt, 8 brothers, 3 nephews and 3 nieces.
Her viewing will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home on February 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Her burial will be on Friday, February the 11th at 9:30 am and the Memorial Service will take place at Clearbrook MB Church at 11:00 am. Beulah will be greatly missed by her husband, family and friends.
