Brenda June Browne passed into the presence of her Lord on January 29, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ronald Philip Staunton Browne, and her four daughters Ruth McMurdo (Maurice), Mary Girouard (Léo), Sarah Browne, and Julia Cave (Andy), as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Brenda was born on June 12, 1931 to Christine and Albert Duff in London, England. Growing up during WWII made her very resilient. After she finished school she worked for Hardy Amies, a fashion designer in Saville Row, London and sewed for royalty. She loved singing and sang with the Billy Graham choir at Wembley Stadium. She also enjoyed exploring the English countryside on her Vespa scooter.
In 1956 she met Ronald and they soon fell in love. They were married on October 11, 1958. They had their four daughters and, in September 1970, the family emigrated to Victoria, British Columbia. Brenda soon made friends with neighbors and those in her church, and started her own alterations business. She loved to entertain and her cooking was amazing! Brenda was a joy-filled woman, full of love for God and those around her. She will be greatly missed but she lives on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
