Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Len McIntosh, and by her children Andrea Hildebrandt (Rob), and David McIntosh (Gill), and her 5 grandchildren, Olivia, Abigail & Isaac Hildebrandt and Gemma & Travis McIntosh. Cathy is also survived by her 4 siblings, Frances (Gary) Ingram, Alex (Dyan) Harding, Bob (Sherri) Harding, and Joanne (Shane) Harding.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Thomas Harding, and mother Ethel Harding (nee Thompson), as well as her teen brother, Fred Harding, and infant sister, Joyce Harding.
Cathy was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend to so many. Cathy was known for her beautiful ability as a pianist and vocalist. She played and sang for many over the years. Although she could read music if persuaded, her gift was in being able to play anything by ear. She used these musical gifts most commonly to worship her Lord and Saviour and as a testimony to others of her strong faith in Jesus.
Cathy faced many health challenges over the last decade, and especially in the past 6 years. While limited in mobility and sight, she still remained active in her music, her prayer life, her family activities, social circles and her church. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was so grateful for her husband Len, a loyal, faithful and phenomenal helpmate through to the end. Her unwavering faith in Christ gave her peace in all circumstances and assurances of being healthy and whole once again in the arms of Jesus.
While we will miss her beautiful presence here with us, we celebrate that she is once again walking, playing and singing in Heaven. Until we meet again...
Celebration of Life for Cathy McIntosh will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 2:00pm at Heritage Alliance Church, 3440 Mount Lehman Rd, Abbotsford BC.
