I had the pleasure of working with Charles for several years at the Community Centred College for the Retired. He was a wonderful person, and we had many "computer" stories that we used to share with one another.  He will be sadly missed.  My deepest condolences to his family.

"Chuck" was the cousin I knew best as I was growing up.  I remember the many Sundays he joined us in our home.  I regret not having seen him much over the years.  May God give you much peace and comfort at this time.

The last I spoke to Charles on facebook he told me he was ill and didn't want any words mentioned to anyone, as that was Charles way and I have always had the up most respect for him and what he had taught me.   We had a great working relationship which I will cherish for the rest of my life.  Even though half the time he spoke to me I swore in some foreign language.  I would not be where I am today without his wisdom guiding me along the way.  He messaged me and posted a video that we had created at work, made me laugh and realized even though we had not spoken in years we had great memories.  I am honored to have the opportunity to have met Charles and have his friendship for a part of his life.  I wish the family the best in these hard times.

As a long-time friend and colleague of Charles at both SAIT in Calgary and Cariboo College in Kamloops, I was surprised and saddened to learn of his passing. He was a vsionary, a futurist, and an intellectual with a love of the classics who presided over the College at a very turbulent time - during "its teen-age years," as I recall him once saying..Despite the times, he accomplished sevral achievements to the lasting benefit of the residents of the region the College served. Among those that come readily to mind were his idea to establish the College Foundation, the support he gave to the recruitment of International students, the development of administrative and academic computer prigrams, and the push for on-site student housing - all of which have become mainstays for TRU.Always quiet and unassuming, Chuck never sought the limelight but he deserves to be remembered for his dedication and commitment to postsecondary education in BC. I was pleased and proud to have been his colleague and his friend, and extend my most sincere sympathies to his family on their loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Charles' passing.  I worked with him at RE/MAX of Western Canada a number of years ago and he was the person who hired me.  I so much enjoyed his sense of humour and the unique phrases he used to use.  For example, he immortalized, at least in my mind, the term 'techno-peasant' for those individuals who did not, at that time, see the need for a computer in the home.  I smile just thinking about it.  Rest in peace, Charles.  I will always remember you fondly.
