Connor Daniel John Parsons, beloved son, brother, and friend passed away July 18th, 2025, in a tragic accident. He is pre-deceased by his grandfathers Raymond Parsons and Daniel Bennett. Connor is survived by his grandmothers, Doreen Bennett and Madeline Parsons, parents Danette and Anton, and siblings Keara, Kaelan, and Jaxon.
In January of 2019 Jaxon was born and became the center of Connor’s universe. Since the day Jaxon was born, he was Connor’s best buddy. They loved playing in the pool, rough-housing, going for drives, and hanging out with “the boys”. Jaxon looked up to Connor and loved to do all the big boy things his big brother enjoyed doing. Connor taught Jaxon about working out and Jaxon would show off his “big muscles” like his big brother. Jaxon held the dearest place in Connor’s heart.
Second to Jaxon, in Connor’s heart, was football. He began to play in 2017 at Robert Bateman Secondary and continued to support the team as a volunteer Coach following his graduation in 2021. He loved to not only build his own skills and play, but he took special pride in supporting and mentoring players. Watching his junior team players win the BCAA Junior Varsity Provincial Championship at BC Stadium in 2024 was the highlight of his coaching career. He was committed to continuing his coaching career with aspirations to support the boys in hopefully winning another championship this year. His team, coaches, and players were part of Connor’s family both off and on the field.
Connor had graduated with his Bachelor of Criminology Degree earlier this year from UFV and was accepted to attend Thompson Rivers University’s Certificate of Social Work program as part of his continuing education with the ultimate goal of becoming a police officer with the Abbotsford Police Department. He cared so much about helping, protecting, and supporting his community. Connor had a strong sense of direction and aimed to achieve his goals not only through his academic success but physical strength and training as well. Connor found success in every pursuit of his.
Connor’s legacy is one of fun, achievement, strength, and humour. His memory will live on in the hearts of many, and he will be dearly missed.
A memorial scholarship will be established, in Connor’s name, for the Bateman Football team for post secondary education. Donations may be made to the family or by e-transfer to [email protected].
