Cornelis “Kees” late of Abbotsford, BC passed away tragically on October 21, 2020 at the age of 69 in Delta, BC.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lucy van Trigt, as well as extended family and friends.

Kees was born in Nieuwveen, Holland on February 4, 1951 to Adrianus and Maria van Trigt. He was the middle child and had an older sister as well as a younger sister.

Kees studied and received accreditation as a Greenhouse Engineer, designing heating systems. Kees married Lucy, the love of his life on May 7, 1976. They immigrated to Canada from Holland in 1996 and have lived in Abbotsford, BC since then.

Kees opened his own business, Holland Heating Design and ran it for seven years. In 2016 Kees retired and started volunteering at the Abbotsford Food Bank where he also received a “Volunteer of the Month” certificate.

During his free time, he enjoyed billiards, golfing, going to the shooting range, volunteering and going on long walks with his friend.

He was a happy, fun-loving, hardworking man, a great neighbour, a loyal friend, a devoted and very supportive husband. He will be sorely missed. Lucy was the love of his life and she will miss him dearly.
