David Philip Wright, 95, passed away August 17, 2025 in North Vancouver. He was surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his first wife of 70 years, June, and survived by his second wife, Christine, his children Kathy, Robert (Kim), and Sherry (Cliff), grandchildren Rheanna (Kevin), Iain, Heather, Kelly (Mugdim), and Aislin, great grandchildren Michael, Emma, Sedona, Ajla and Arijana.
Dave was a long time resident of Abbotsford, BC except for a few short years at the middle and end of his life. Raised on a dairy farm in Sumas Prairie he lived through the Fraser flood in 1948 and as a teenager helped drive cattle to higher ground. As a newly married couple Dave and June moved to Old Clayburn Road, Abbotsford, to raise raspberries and beef cattle while having a successful plumbing business. In his spare time he was an avid fisherman and golfer. Their farm was the last one sold in the area.
Once the farm was sold he moved to White Rock and then North Vancouver. During this time he spent his time playing records and having deeper connection with his family.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will be a private family service at a later date.
