Dear Diane.  

You were a beautiful woman inside and out.  You had the BEST sense of humour. I am grateful that we were able to chat online as often as we did.  Who knew it would end so soon. I will miss you.

We have known Diane for the past 26 years as an “in-law”, and then as a friend. We shared three grandchildren, so we always had lots to talk and brag about.
Diane was always positive, kind and gracious. She loved to visit, laugh and entertain, and took a genuine interest in others.
She would help people in need and was a great support to her children and grandchildren.
Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

It is with a heavy heart that Harry and I send this message of condolences to Diane’s family.   She was a precious and beautiful friend and that friendship was truly a gift to us.  May you find peace in the knowledge that she was loved by many but especially Harry and I.  We shared a lifetime of memories, one of joys, laughter, tears and sorrow.  We are grateful and thankful for having had her in our lives.

No words can describe how much Diane will be missed!! The 2 of us go back to when we were 15 yrs old. I met Diane during my grade 9 year in Clear Brook  Junior High school… we also realized we went to the same church. This was the beginning of a very close bond. We picked strawberries to earn  our Moo moos from the Sears Catalogue store. Also to enjoy our famous French fries at the corner store & whatever else we enjoyed spending it on. In April when school wasn’t quite finished for the year my folks had to return to Mb since they were farmers… it was then that Diane’s parents took me in for 3 months as part of their family! Oh what memories!!! Diane her mom & I loved singing together & playing piano. The Klassen’s had beautiful voices as you all & so I sang along as best I could. Her brothers were so entertaining as well… little Ken always in our way in a good way & Gerald philosophizing his knowledge  & trying to impress us! Life was so fun in their household but it too came to an end that summer when I returned to Mb. We continued our friendship from a distance & I made many a visit to BC to visit. I had the privilege to soend a few nights with Diane this last May when it became known that she was not feeling well. Just recently Diane text me in one of her last texts & it read” My strength comes from the Lord who made heaven & earth.” I will continue to fill my days with Joy for as long as God allows”. We all know that Diane is with her maker & dancing with her beloved Bob. Praise God! Your earthly friend Lois Janzen ❤️🙏❤️

Rest in peace beautiful lady your with your dear true loved ones now.  Thank-you  for all you did for my daughter Stephanie both you and Bob were just so wonderful....you will be truly missed.

I cherish the memories I have with Diane, and the many laughs we shared. I was fortunate enough to know both Bob and Diane and be blessed with their kindness, empathy and love. They will both remain forever in my heart.

Kevin (Mel and family).  Norm and I send our Love and Sympathy as you mourn the passing of your dear mom.  Hugs to you and your kids.  Tough times for everyone.

I never took a photo of us having “black” coffee together at her house but I always felt so cared for and loved.  She would tell me I was beautiful but then one day I found out she could barely see and needed her cataracts removed 😂

Diane was never afraid to ask for potatoes or onions when she was preparing for a visit from family and sometimes I even had something to give!  It would often spur on a conversation about her favorite recipes and I will never look at potatoes without thinking of her again…(I ask myself “what would Diane do?”)

I enjoyed the yearly message to come to her door and pick up my Christmas present!!  

She was an amazing neighbor and I will miss her (and do miss Bob) dearly.  Will see them again on the other side.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I remember your mom as beautiful, easy to talk to, vivacious, quick to laugh, and hospitable. May the days to come bring many good memories to mind as you grieve…

I have many fond memories of your mom. Who was my dear friend. We worked together at Mennonite hospital. We shared lots of good laughs. I loved her and she appreciated me also. The last time I visited her I asked what I could bring her next Time I came to visit and she quickly answered’no flowers!! So I asked ,plum platz?  And she answered yes!!  So today I made the platz and put it in a pretty box for her and with a light heart walked in to the hospice house!  Only to be told she left us. I can’t say how sorry I was too late. Love and prayers to your family!!!
