I remember how much Eileen loved cats. She and Bill were very good to my great aunt Eva through many years. She loved the outdoors. Being one of the few women around in the logging camps, she lifted the men's spirits.  She had a great sense of humour.

I especially remember Auntie Eileen when I was a young girl visiting my grandparents. As a teenager, Uncle Bill flew me to the logging camp to help her when she was recovering from an operation. I spent and interesting week there and she taught me to crochet and embroider. Over the years I gave her books on cats for Christmas presents as she so loved her cats. The last time I visited her was when I was attending a wedding close to her home. I enjoyed hearing of my brother Greg's visits with her.
