Common stories will be from dancing, horses, working in the shop, windsurfing, dirt biking, kayaking, hang gliding, or most likely motorcycles.
Growing up everyone was welcome at our table, even strangers who had broken down on the side of the road were brought in and served coffee and cookies then stayed as friends for years thereafter.
He spent as much time as possible riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, with an average casual afternoon ride taking him hundreds of kms, seeing more of the back country than most people know exists. He built different trailers to go with his Gold Wing so he had a choice of activity for when he “arrived” at random destinations, the dirt bike trailer, the kayak trailer, or the camp trailer so he could stay overnight extending a day trip to multiple days to be able to drop in to visit friends or see more sights.
His email was AlfOnAWing but he doesn’t need to be on a Wing anymore, he has his own pair now. ❤️
A celebration of life (a casual gathering of friends) will be held Sunday September 25th from 2-6pm, at Abbotsford Social Activity Assoc 33889 Essendene Ave, Abbotsford, BC. Potluck of snacks/appetizers (finger food only).
His ashes were laid to rest by his Father Aug 21 in Nova Scotia beside his mother and other relatives.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hendersonsabbotsfordfunerals.com for the HENWOOD family.
