It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Gisela Rosella Reimer. She was taken far too soon by sudden onset of Lung Cancer on December 15, 2012.
Her life began on October 2, 1938 in Witmarsum, Brazil. She immigrated to Canada in 1949, eventually settling down in Abbotsford, where she met and married Peter Reimer on November 4, 1956, then settled down in Vancouver where they raised 3 children. After dad’s retiring, they moved back to Abbotsford from whence they first met, and spent the last 11 years enjoying their life.
She is survived by husband Peter, their three children, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren and extended family. Many thanks to the Palliative Care Nurses and Doctors at the Abbotsford Tertiary Palliative Care Center. In lieu of flowers, donations to MCC would be appreciated.
