Hardev Kaur Johal was born in 1944 in the village of Dhurkot Tahliwala (Moga ). She grew up there with her three brothers and one sister. At the age of twenty, in 1964 she married Mukhtair Singh Johal of village Mandiani (Ludhiana). In March of 1989 she came to Canada and spent the rest of her life in Abbotsford, BC.
Hardev Kaur began her fight with cancer in 2006. Hardev Kaur was strong by mind, soft by nature and brave to the end. She passed away at Abbotsford Hospital on March 13, 2010.
Hardev Kaur leaves behind her husband Mukhtair Singh Johal and her four children and twelve grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person who will be remembered for her smiling face, courage and strong spirit.
