Helen Klassen Regier

Helen (Klassen) Regier was born July 18, 1919 in Olgafeld, Russia, and was the only child of Jacob and Anna Klassen. The family emigrated to Canada in the mid 1920’s as did many Mennonite families. Helen’s family farmed in the Swift Current area. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Edward Regier, whom she married in 1943. Helen and her family moved to the Fraser Valley in 1945, and were Charter members of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church (now SevenOaks).

Helen is survived by her children, Robert Regier (Miya Regier) her daughter, Susan Bedford (Mike Leavy), grandchildren Laurie Anne, Crystal, and Shannon Bedford, and by her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua.

Helen is also survived by many extended family members and friends who share her heritage and her faith.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tabor Village, which was Helen’s much beloved home for the last several years.
